I believe this is a 2015 DDO, the date and the word TRUST look doubled. Variety Vista has one listed as... 2015 DDO-001. I did find a small die crack under the "0" in 2015 as a marker.
Fantastic photos! Definitely looks like a DDO to me; I could see it on the date without even zooming in. @paddyman98 @furryfrog02 @Rick Stachowski
Yup looks good to me. I am not generally a fan of the newer doubled dies but this one looks pretty cool, especially on the date.
I must need a new prescription for my glasses because other that the date looking like machine doubling, I just don't see it.
Remember this is single squeeze production. It does not look like classic DD because it isn't. IMO Jim
Love this site as I learn so much from it. Thank you Jim. Can you help with my old age eye sight anyway? LOL
Looks good. Check these sites: http://www.varietyvista.com/01e LC Doubled Dies Vol 5/2015PDDO001 cent.htm Even with single squeeze hubbing check this site: https://www.numismaticnews.net/article/doubled-die-2015-cent-identified
I’d be interested in reading about the different hubbing techniques, specifically the differences with single squeeze, if anyone had anything to recommend? @Rick Stachowski ?
Peripheral . http://www.error-ref.com/peripheral-doubling/ Centrally . http://www.error-ref.com/centrally-located_doubling/
It seems like almost every shield cent i come across has some degree of this single squeeze doubling going on and ive totally given up on identifying their #'s, BUT YOURS!!!! Now THATS worth putting aside!! Great catch!!!! Im always struggling with the angle and glare..not on that one!! Awrsome!!
Here's a few sites: http://www.coinnews.net/2013/09/13/how-the-philadelphia-mint-makes-hubs-and-dies-to-produce-coins/ https://doubleddie.com/58201.html There's probably more but others probably know more about this.
