can someone please tell me why this 2015 penny obverse side is all jacked up but the outer rim(not sure what that’s called) and reverse side isn’t?? It’s really odd. Thoughts?
It looks like it was on the pavement in a parking lot and walked on and driven over. The softer soul of a shoe and a car tired didn't damage the obverse. Post mint damage. Still worth one cent.
Idk.. I wish I could get a better picture for u guys because yes it seems as so but at the same time looking threw my magnifying glass it just seems to be more. ♀️ Could just be me.
Yes.. It's just you Sharon.. Damage comes in many forms. Sometimes how it occurs is a mystery. All I/we can tell you is that is not a Mint Error. It is definitely damaged.
parking lot find. You'd be amazed if you read other ppls threads of found pennies, especially the ones where they find them in a parking lot, and are clueless on how they got just like yours. You can experiment. Take a brand new penny. Put it on a concrete driveway. Put your shoe on it and push it a bit. Take a look at it and repeat. You might find something very similar looking ...
Hey, Frankjg, where did you get that picture of the " Tri-Leggis ". That's the national symbol of the Isle of Man , isn't it? Check this out. It was on a spoon I tried to buy on eBay. The seller called it a Medusa. Wrong. The hallmarks are on the left of the spoon.
Not sure, I googled Triskelia and that was the best looking one (in my opinion). Not sure about being the symbol for the Isle of Man but I do know that it is on the Sicilian flag.
This is the Coat of Arms of the Isle of Mann : The Latin phrase means : " Wherever you throw it, it will stand "
No because there will always be someone new coming in with a parking lot coin wanting to know about their great error coin discovery.
