    Hi guys,

I have this 2015 P Roosevelt Dime and see that most of the letters, date and mint mark on the obverse are faintly visible and the letters in "AMERICA" on the reverse are weak. Can someone explain what this is? Is this considered a weak strike?

Looks like a worn out die to me spend it.

not a weak strike but rather a deteriorated die strike. Worth 10 cents :shame:

It's quite a common occurrence on modern circulation strikes. Anyway, at least in my experience, quality control for Roosevelt dimes seems to be quite lacking.

2015 dimes were probably the worst for this worn die problem. It's also common in other recent years. I saved the first few I found thinking they were unique, but quickly realized they are everywhere!! Don't give up though! There's an error or variety in the wild out there for you!! Just keep looking and posting!!!

Worn die issue, but strange the reverse wasn't just as bad. They changed out the reverse die but not the hammer die? Weird.

My grandmother was a doubled die collector of all types nickels dimes, quarters etc. she passed away in dec and since then ive been reading now I'm trying to pick up where she left off at and i cant not find anything on 2010 D errors on Wexler's and variety vista on top of all the books i have any info or help would be much appreciated

Welcome to Coin Talk!! I recommend you start a separate thread about your coin(s) with pictures! Select full image when uploading the pics and provide full obverse and reverse as well as a closeup of the area in question, as well as a detailed explanation of what you are asking about! Thanks and good luck!!!

@Raven129 ...if neither Wexler or VV show anything, then all thats been found so far is considered too minor to list. 2010 is still pretty early in the find sequence, show us what you have in your own thread...jmho...Spark
