Coin World published this information on Saturday. The Federal Register also has pricing information: https://www.federalregister.gov/art...ing-for-the-2015-march-of-dimes-silver-dollar https://www.federalregister.gov/art...or-the-2015-march-of-dimes-special-silver-set But I do not see any mention of mintages.
1996w uncirculated clad dime mintage total 1,457,949. The only w mint mark for that series. 2014s proof clad dime mintage as of today is 688,963. The lowest of all proof and unc clad dime series. This coin is also with the roosevelt chronicles set. Speaking of roosevelt chronicles set. This set also include the possible candidate for the lowest presidential proof dollar. currently at 1,331,980. 2015w silver proof dime and 2015p reverse silver proof dime. These two are unique mint mark for the silver proof dime family. and also the lowest mintage.
I personally like the march of dimes silver dollar. The cause for March of dimes is a good one, better then most of the other modern commems. My wife is a neonatal nurse and says the organization does alot for premature babies. I think I will buy several sets just because the march of dimes will get roughly 20% of the proceeds. Having a premature baby is something more common then one might think. It's a good cause and I think the design represents the organization well.
The Proof & Unciruclated Dollars are going on sale next Friday. I'm debating if I'll just buy the Uncirculated version and then get the proof as part of the 3 coin set. Not sure if I want to pay for 2 Proof Dollars. What are you all going to do?
I would like to purchase one in each finish, but if the proof dollar will also be made available with the proof dimes, I may wait until they are made available as a set.
March of Dimes Special Silver Set Limited to 75,000 http://www.coinnews.net/2015/03/06/march-of-dimes-special-silver-set-limited-to-75000/
Wow! I remember the March of Dimes telethons growing up in the 1960's, huge worthy events, with Jerry Lewis. I wonder if the set is gonna have any money making potential? Making a buck will be my determining factor on whether I buy.
One silver dime with p mint mark is for reverse proof dime. One silver dime with w mint mark is for proof dime. Mintage at 75,000 each. will be the lowest mintage for roosevelt dime series. Also both mint mark is unique. All silver proof dime carry s mint mark.
Don't think so. I believe the 1990 P comm Eisenhower dollar has a P mintmark. And there are others as well.
We should say that only the silver proof dime with a unique mint mark p for reverse silver proof and w for silver proof. And both will be the lowest mintage by far.at 75,000 each. If sell out. But do not forget the clad proof s mint mark might also be the lowest on their respective category. This one is included in the roosevelt chronicles set. So remember the U S mint is plan to produce as many as unique coins for the future. Because the trend is down in almost category. The only way to help the coin market up or recover is for the gold and silver to go up and higher and higher.
Even though FDR is my favorite president I cannot fathom spending that much on the March of Dimes set.
