I think you should keep it in your pocket! In my opinion, the forward-facing portrait of Jefferson is the ugliest thing I have ever seen. His eyes look like they are bulging out of his head. I wish they had kept the original Jefferson bust.

Agreed, I wish we'd get back to the old coins instead of this new age junk.

I (to a degree) enjoy the change when it comes to his portrait, before 2005, I hated the design, seeing the outline of his head, then filled in with all that hair to me....... is not a great design.

 

Your photo has nothing to do with it. You can't take a photo of a pig and make it look like Marilyn Monroe.

Get new designers and some leeway from Congress. I much prefer when the half dime, dime, quarter, half, and dollar all had the same motif.

I do agree. I would be scared to let congress pick a new design. we would probably get a pic of mr. bho himself.

Darn it, that is just SO WRONG! Marilyn (and the Dick vanDyke show version of Mary Tyler Moore) were my first two age-inappropriate crushes.

 

Haha, I got the funny idea when he said it and I just googled "Marilyn Monroe Pig" and that was one of the first things that popped up.

 

I really don't like the new Jefferson design.. He looks bug eyed, and the relief is so low. On the other hand, there are some high grade examples to be found if you look hard.

 

I wish? I could relate.

 

It's the best, example I have found here in the Rockies.
