    Have this 2013 d dime and it looked odd to me. Was this an error or what? I guess u can see the smooth edges,unlike most dimes it has none. Any input would greatly be appreciated 20190830_141152.jpg 20190830_141152.jpg 20190830_140855.jpg 20190830_140824.jpg

    Based on the far-way photos, and
    your description of it not have any
    reeding, it appears to be a 'tapped'
    coin.

    The edge was tapped, and that
    removes the reeding, and makes the
    rim higher. It should be a bit smaller
    in diameter from a normal dime.

    I'm with Fred and Mr. P. that it has been "spooned".

    May I suggest that in the future, you crop out all of the unnecessary background in your photos and resize them before posting them to the thread. It will make it a lot easier for us to view them.

    'Spooned' w/the photo is a better description;

    ...I'm old-school, and the term I learned was 'tapped'.

    .....six of one, half-dozen of another......
