I got two in the mail this afternoon. The bills are creased and have no good numbers. The coins have a ding on Sacagawea's nose but have finning on the rim. What to do, send them back to the mint or keep them for the finning error? 20150902_215740-1.jpg 20150902_210624-1.jpg

Doubt it is enough to get an error label

The first image is too close/blurry for me to figure out if it's an error. I'm also not sure what I'm looking at in the second image...

The first isn't an error. It's post mint damage. The second is a finned rim.

Known as Finning or Finned Rim. The OP's coin is slightly finned but nothing major.

Consider your disappointment. Can you live with it? You probably can't get replacements from the mint. Do you want to give them up and buy after market to have them?

Why can you not get replacements? These are not even close to a sale out.

My mistake. I thought they were unavailable. Sounds like you want them replaced so if available, do it. :)

Mine has some "finning" going on and the coin does feel sharp

So, is every coin which is not "perfect" considered an "error" now?

According to the mint, finning was/is not an acceptable result. There are several recent cases in which the release of a series was withheld because of finning errors on their products.
