I'm not getting them graded. It's easy to see they are narrow reeds - no need to get them validated as such. I think there will be a lot of them found and prices on ebay will come down a lot.
I guess the bottom line is that you do own them already, so if mintages are very low you can take it from there. Or maybe sell one now for a little profit and hold the other 2 ~ thanks for showing them. I actually plan on holding 1 coin in a MS69 grade just in case it turns out to be a low population coin, I just gotta have a least one.
Ya I agree. I would not think Population Should not Grow much higher. But error & die variety time is teller.
Nice link but it doesn't mean anything. We know the ASE's are in 500 coin boxes, the queation is how are the gold coins packaged for bulk sales to the distributors? 500 coin boxes or some other size?
This just came in my email. check out what they want for this. https://www.moderncoinmart.com/2015...ml?MMCF_20150304_cw_narrow_gold_eagles_banner
$899 yes I did ~ This might be low if populations are very low. As of 3/5/2015 the populations are PCGS MS70 First Strike ~ 242 coins NGC Brown Label MS70 ~ 94 coins NGC Brown Label MS69 ~ 59 coins NGC Early Release MS70 ~ 82 coins NGC Early Release MS69 ~ 68 coins
Here we are 2 months after the release of the 2015 $5 Gold Eagle, I think that many boxes have been searched and pops are still pretty low. I see a few of them showing up un-graded on ebay, so total pops are a little higher than the graded pieces are showing.
Yeah 242 low Now but 1 - ??? Years whenever die varies do dip price wise They also could find more . Any die varieties first year is hard to judge rarity. If you got at 1st price and grading . I would wish I had two sell one you would be ahead still have one.
Still the First Strike and Early Release coins are over as far as the labels are concerned. Pops may stay below the 5,000 coin range ?????
Yeah population low but no one knows what the future holds is all I am saying. Otherwise I would have gotten Apple's stock at $1.00 a share. Error can be like that there 1st year.
I agree. It seems kind of strange that only 1 Gold Bullion Dealer is actually selling these coins MCM. So either the other bullion dealers are still looking through there $5 gold eagles, or maybe this variety was in a very few boxes of gold eagles !!!-???
On facebook, MCM stated they go by ebay price. But this coin sell really slow on eBay, only 1 or 2 sell per day.
That is slow but probably $800.00 plus is high for a different rim reeds on 10 th oz Gold coin people are wonder if more could be found if was half or whole set sales could be more. Variety in same year found don't sell fast any more or Public is getting smarter money wise or don't think it's worth the extra cost.
So here is an interesting thought, on Mar. 12th the $5 Proof Gold Eagle is being released. How many $5 proof gold eagles have the narrow reeds ??? if any
