I must be seeing things or not seeing them actually. I just got this in hand and can not see a mint mark. 2014-(W) $1 Silver Eagle PCGS MS70 West Point First Strike Miles Standish Signed What am I missing here?
That is a bullion issue that was struck at West Point. It is not a burnished issue with the W mintmark. How the TPGs guarantee that it was minted at West Point is the entire box with the mint straps must be submitted when they grade them. So, you coin is guaranteed to be minted at West Point, and is a bullion issue. IE, one that comes out of a tube and you'd like to pay $2 - $3 over spot for, not the one that comes in a box and coa for $10 to $20 over spot. It it a 70 though, so as long as it doesn't get milk spots or other discolorations it should have some added value to "plastic buyers".
