2014 Native American $1 Coin and Enhanced Uncirculated Currency Set

Got my 10 today. A little range of serial numbers on the bills. 05734846 thru 50, then 05734838 thru 40 and 05734826 and 27. I don't think any will go in for grading as I can see small imperfections, mostly on what I would call the reverse with the two figures. A couple have noticeable marks that would definitely not get a 69, most likely a 68. So not worth it in my opinion sending them in. A few look very pristine, not detracting marks, but I think these were not made with the intention of getting the attention they did so therefore care was not taken the same as maybe a proof Eagle when they minted them.

I did just call and they say anyone that ordered prior to 12/10/14 will have theirs allocated in the inventory. Everyone after that will be filled with cancellations and returns.

 

Funny thing......this morning I get an e-mail from the mint stating that order # blah, blah had shipped. I filed it and figured it was for my silver eagle proofs. Late this afternoon I re-open the e-mail and check the tracking # to see if there has been any movement on the order. Guess what? It's (e-mail) informing me that my 'enhanced' sets have shipped.



I received the sets three weeks ago. The tracking number was for the sets I have already received. Dey sending more?

 

If they do, forward my missing 4 sets on to me.

I don't know, for those still waiting, you may want to jump on eBay and grab a quantity in mint sealed boxes, in the $30 each range, if you still can (before the $100 to $200 range happens). I bought 5 from the mint and another 5 on the Bay in a mint sealed box for $31 each.

 

I gave the extras to my friends and family that didn't get them. I hope they do increase in value but only time will tell.

 

Yeah, they made nice holiday gifts, I kept one and gave the other nine away.

 

Oh dear.....should I take one of these sets to FUN and possibly capitalize? Mad money and snuff?

 

Go for it! Use them as currency for something you really want, because you are definitely going to see a lot of stuff you want that they don't sell on the US Mint website.

I ordered 2 on 12/10 and they shipped the next day and were received before Christmas, just in time to give one to my nephew as a gift. The two were consecutive serial numbers on the notes.

I also ordered 3 more on 12/11 and they are still showing backordered. I sure hope I get those!

Anyone ordered between 12/12, 12/13 and 12/14 get there set/s?. So far some ordered on 12/10 and 12/11 got it. These date order were limited to five set. While the unlimited offer during 12/04. Most people got there.

P.s. Also for kennedy clad two coins set. Two days Before it declared sold out. The mint website shown out of stock, then out of stock went off. You can order it again. it also shown how many set available. Set savailable is less than 100. Until finally all set sold. I was able to buy some during last few minutes.
