I consider the way everyone and their mother went about this release to have been the antics I was referring to. Also the Mint recently slashed the amount they would commit to Mint to 75,000, more than meets demand.

I understand what you are saying but I'm agreeing to disagree on the way it happened impacting price as much as simple supply and demand

They slashed the amount from 50,000 to 75,000? Did I miss something?

Antics initially hurt sales demand, the falling price of metals and the Mint's high premium on products also hurt sales. I don't think a lot of people holding these are looking to dump them if they bought early to flip and profit from the initial retail price of $1240. A lot of these will be parked off the market until (if) metals rebound. We'll see over time how the graded and designated coins level out in pop reports and where OGP prices fit in for any semblance of actual demand and realistic collectible premiums.

The gold proof coin had no product limit until mid-October when it was then given a 75,000 unit limit by the Mint. Current sales are just over 69k.

These few days. The average at eBay is around $45. I see the price can easily pass $55 average at eBay soon. For the meantime. Just keep drinking. Wine, champagne, or a cup of coffee.
