2014 Native American $1 Coin and Enhanced Uncirculated Currency Set

So, what do you all think of this coin’s potential once the “flipper coins” are absorbed?

We currently have 3 enhanced unc coins:

1. 2013 ASE – mintage approximately 235k
2. 2014 Kennedy - mintage approximately 225k
3. 2014 NA Dollar - mintage approximately 50k

Ok, ok, the 2014 Kennedy is a stretch; the mint really blew it on that one, as the high polish present on the other two isn’t there, just an improper wire brush cleaning appearance.

We also have several coins with similar mintages which sell in the $200+ range.

I’ll err on the optimistic side and guess the NA Dollar will sell in the $200+ range and will attract more collectors to the series, boosting the value of all.

 

When the mintage is equal. The enhanced uncirculated and proof are usually price the same. The expensive one is the reverse proof.

The prices that I predicted as of now are:

2014 coin and currency set. average ebay price $35.00. On line dealers most likely sell them at $49.95 and catalog based dealers should sell them for $69.95 or more.

2014 kennedy clad two coins set. Average ebay price $15.50. On line dealers $19.95. Catalog based dealers $29.95.

2014 kennedy silver fours coins set. Average ebay price $115.00. u s mint is still selling them at $99.95. Same with kennedy 3/4 ounce gold. Mint sell it for $1,165.00.

 

I just checked email...my 10 sets ordered 12-4 while I was in Thailand has shipped today, or at least the label has been created but I don't have an arrival date. Assuming monday. I just hope they aren't all rejects...but I read today in the Numismatic News that the mint left open producing another 50,000 sets for a total of 100k if the demand was up for it. So we shall see how this plays out.

 

How did they "leave it open"? The ad say 50,000. Have a link to that article?

 

I talked to the customer service and she said that if you order them with unlimited that you should get all of them and that is what she told me. I order 11 on the 4th and she said that mine will be next which mean everyone else as well I would think. I am not sure why it taken them so long to take care of this. There should not be so much trouble for the Mint to ship these orders. I mean like they are the producer wouldn't you think.

 

I welcome the mint to produce 2015 coin and currency set. But not to increase the 2014 set. Cause the maximum is already stated at 50,000 set. Also hopefully the mint will use $2.00 bill instead of $1.00.

 

No link since I get it in the mail. But rereading the article it appears they were talking about another set from 2012 and not the coin and currency set like I thought originally. But they did say that it could be a good set to have unless they don't limit it to 50k and don't issue another product that has the enhanced Sacagawea dollar in it.

 

I think every order will be ship before January 1,2015.

 

How do you all see that what is the shipping process of your orders. All I see is BACKORDER ?

I'm still backordered as well, from 12/11 I hope I get my order! Well, I hope we all get our orders!! It's gonna be one big boner if the Mint doesn't deliver.

 

My friend also still on backordered. He ordered it on 12/12. Luckily I got mine. Order date 12/4.

I received my two sets over the Holiday. One coin looks very nice. The other has a small contact mark on her chin/jaw. It gives it a little character. Overall, not a bad set.

I traded $13.95 (x2) of my money for $2 face value...lmao!

 

Well the Mint came through. My 12/4 order of ten has arrived and they look good. No problem coins in the bunch, and all ten bills consecutively numbered. Doesn't look like these are rejects or returns.

A few of these are starting to sell for $50 raw on ebay. Wonder how long I should sit on my 35??

 

Right now. if I want to sell Native American $1 coin & currency set at ebay. Al least the price will be $45.00 minimum. Online company should be priced at $69.95 and catalog based company should be $99.95. While the sold out kennedy clad two coins set should be $20.00 at least from ebay. And $29.95 from online company. $49.95 from catalog based company. While the other two kennedys can be purchase at u s mint. These are kennedy gold coin and silver four coins set.

 

I don't think that antics are harming the price. I think everyone and their mother thought they would score big by flipping and so more people bought the coin then wanted one. Once the sellers dump their coins the supply far exceeds demand and here we are.
