Interesting, the first PCGS SP69's are listed on eBay for $219.75.

 

My 12/12 order is still showing BACKORDER status. Maybe I still have a shot?

 

My 12/14 is on backorder status, too.

 

My coins shipped last week and are still in OH somewhere. Funny thing is, I don't live in that state!

I think in Honor of Sacagawea, the US Mint decided to ship my coins by Stagecoach! Worse than that, I received no message via telegraph.

 

US Mint left hand: "Hey Righty, what are you doing?"

US Mint right hand: "Huh? What are you doing, lefty?"

 

You're lucky they didn't send it up the Missouri River JP........

 

Maybe some of Lewis & Clark's relatives are delivering it by hand...

US Mint Adds “Sold Out” Product Status for Online Catalog via MintNewsBlog 2014.12.22

The Mint also provided explanation for other status notifications:


Sold Out: When all inventory of products has been depleted, taking into account cancellations and other factors.


Back Order: When products are in “Back Order” status, this means that the product is available for sale, however there is no inventory in stock and a future ship date is displayed on our website. Products in this status can still be ordered online or by calling Customer Service at 1-800-USA-MINT (872-6468).


Out Of Stock: Products in “Out of Stock” status with no “Remind Me” button are not available for sale. If product becomes available through additional production or cancelled orders, the product will be made available for purchase again.


Out of Stock with “Remind Me” button: When products are in an “Out of Stock” status with a “Remind Me” button, there is no inventory currently available, but additional inventory is likely. Products in this status cannot be ordered, but by clicking the “Remind Me” button you can request to be reminded by email when product becomes available.

Sold out Retail price for Native American $1 coin and currency set should be around $45.00 to $50.00 range. While the kennedy clad two coins set is around $20.00 to $25.00.

The kennedy silver four coins set is around $130.00 and 3/4 ounce kennedy is around $1,200.00. Both still offer from the mint at $99.95 and $1,202.50. The later can go down to $1,165.00 on Wednesday afternoon due to gold price down.

 

Thanks elaine. I think the Kennedy coins are lacking not only because of spot prices, but antics that most collectors looked dimly upon when they were released earlier in the year. It's a shame, because the quality of the Kennedy coins is quite good from the examples I have and have seen in hand.

 

My order is still on back order and I ordered on 12/11. I just called b/c I don't see my order when I log in. It's only when I go to the website and enter my order number and email address that I can see it. The guy said my order looks fine and some people were having problems b/c of the password reset. I didn't change my password until a day or two before I made the order and he said, that's most likely the problem. He also said, they are trying to do the best they can but some orders went out before other orders. Bottom line, is some ppl will receive theirs sooner and some will receive theirs later. I guess I'm in the later category.

 

Processing at last. Hope to receive it before new year.
