    "On Hold" sounds favorable.

Not everyone who recently ordered these coins got the U.S. Mint's email about their orders because the Mint can't fill all of them. It was titled, "Update Regarding Product TA9". It says:

"Due to overwhelming demand, the product reached its production limit in sales quickly. The United States Mint accepted a limited number of orders on a waiting list in the event that products became available due to order cancellations. Waiting list orders are not guaranteed and are only fulfilled if inventory becomes available.

At this time, we can only confirm that your order is on the waiting list. As we continue to process orders for the American $1 Coin and Currency Set, there may be cancellations that allow us to fulfill some portion of the waiting list orders. Although you may have received an order confirmation and backorder communications, these should not have been taken as a guarantee that your order would be fulfilled. If you no longer would like the American $1 Coin and Currency Set you may request to have your wait listed order cancelled.

Should we be able to fulfill your order, you will receive a shipping confirmation notification from us once your order has been shipped. If your order will not be processed, you will receive an order cancellation notification confirming this when your order is cancelled from our system."

My order of the 4th changes daily from Backorder to On Hold to Backorder. The chances of this order being filled in light of the above information is about the same as me being the next owner of the King of Siam 1804 Dollar.

My 12/10 order just arrived. I'm opening the pkg. now......

    [edit to add]

Georgeous! All three sets are spectacular. One could maybe go for a '70 if the grader had 'slow eye' and the other two are solid '69's........

With the number of 70's out there, I would say your chances of one are slim. Send it in if you think it has a chance though!

Or don't send it in and help keep the number of 70s population coins more valuable with a lower population of them. Ken might turn his into a pocket piece what with it's special, enhanced-ness and all that.

Nah, I'll probably keep it in OGP. Graded coins don't really float my boat. Artificial rarities on otherwise common coins. Heck, I could care less about splitting hairs. I'm just happy they came in pretty clean and not like the 'chin shot' you received on one of your coins 'Witten. Still, if they had come in thus, I would have kept 'em anyway. After all, they are uncirculated pieces and don't receive the 'white glove' treatment by mint employees.

It's a shame these don't circulate. It's the only good looking coin we have now!

Looks nice, but no 70 in my opinion. When zoomed in, I see lots of little hits.
