    It looks like a die chip. If it's on 22 of them then it most likely is.

    22 out of 50 have the eye blob and the other 28 have blobs on the shield on the reverse

    A few are "collectible" like the BIE. But as a general rule, they aren't very valuable.

    As to this one could you please tell me if you see a die crack leading up to your blob (chip) because I was thinking it may be a filled in die break known as an IDB (Internal Die Break). I will show one of mine listed at cuds on coins.

    Here is the IDB listed at cudsoncoins

    The die break is much more strong leading up to more of a fill at the eye.
