2014 Libertad Proof 7 coin set limited 250 sets

When I visit the web site for Banco de Mexico, I see a photo and description for a 1 kilo Libertad coin in a wooden box:


...but I do not see any photos or descriptions for the seven coin sets assembled by Pat Stovall.

Maybe this coin/box/certificate combo was also produced/assembled by a third party similar to the seven coin set mentioned in the OP and they simply do not list all such sets on their site. I don't know.

Jumping back into the fray here...I would completely agree that the set is "official" in that the coins included will be unconditionally authentic, and the premise of the entire set is completely sanctioned by Banco De Mexico (complete with official Bank COA), and will most likely be a nice top notch production.

I think the issue is varying definitions of the term official. I don't believe anyone's definition is wrong, just different.

I believe it was explained that Pat Stovall approached Banco De Mexico about this project and it was originally on ChoiceBullion's site but oddly it looks to have been taken out of the description.

Definition of "Official" for ChoiceBullion seems to be:
-Authentic proof coins directly from the mint - Check
-Authentic high quality box made by the same company that makes the boxes for previous Banco de Mexico products - Check
-Sanctioned by Banco De Mexico along with official branded COA - Check

=Official!

This set is a great product for sure, it's got almost everything going for it. I think it will be a great addition to Libertad collectors. for me, official is, for example, the 2012 Silver eagle san fran set. It's a mint product from ground up and, though not a requirement, included a reverse proof which was not available any other way. It was designed, packaged and distributed by the US mint (though Banco de Mexico does not sell direct).

ChoiceBullion will have no problem selling this set out, but my sentiments still match Blaubart's.

 

LEt's see some pics when you get it, I too am a big Libertad fan.

 

Mine came in a couple days ago, I'm absolutely thrilled with them and the overall presentation with the light wood, white sleeve & black velvet. Nice set, really nice!
Don't plan on selling, but I see the 1st auctioned set on the Bay is already at $905 and the first via Buy-it-now just sold for $1,500... and rightly so IMHO.

 

These sets appear every year, kinda like mushrooms after a heavy summer rain. Several years ago, I collected gold and silver proof Libertads, including one of the annual silver seven coin proof sets in a wood box with a very low total mintage. Last time I checked the price hadn't appreciated. The seven coin set is well packaged but I don't believe it's increased in value. Probably losing value due to
the price of silver heading south.
