Have you thought about camping out at the convention center the night before?

No, I wasn't being sarcastic. I don't know if there will be a line the night before but I think it's a possibility.

If they are only selling 500 coins at the show and 2 per is allowed, that means potentially only 250 people will get coins. Sleeping out might not be a bad idea if you really need to have them the first day.

Camp out, but how do you get in before the dealers?

You don't unless you can get a dealer badge, which is not out of the question.

Did you register as a dealer before the deadline?

Looks like it is out of the question.

Maybe the mint is considering the utter mayhem they will cause with only having 500 per day, 2 per person. It would piss off a lot of people that flew from far away to attend the show, or drove for many hours, to not be able to get even one. I'd rather see 1000 a day but only 2 per person. That would give a lot of people a chance at a couple.

Camping out? Standing in long lines? Are you guys just trying to make a quick buck? I don't get it, You can order these on line.

Ya, but you can't order the ANA slab online. The money on these coins will be the ANA slabs, not the coin itself. If you can't see why people are standing in long lines for these, you are blind. And a side note.. why the ebay name golden shower Wisconsin? You do know what that means, right?

So this isnt about coins or collecting coins. People just want to flip them for money

I would like to make some money, yes. Buy as many as I can at the show, then maybe one or two online to keep for myself. Is this wrong, and if so, why? And isn't the US mint just making these to make money? They are not collecting them. How dare they try to make money!

I have no problem with it. I have only ordered one coin from the mint, The HOF.
I just didn't know if people were actually this excited for the coin, or to make money. Personally I dont understand why someone would pay a lot of money for a label, but I cant blame the flippers for seeing an opportunity and exploiting it.

I wouldn't pay it for the label either.. but you have to remember, 99% of people out there wouldn't buy a gold kennedy for the price the mint is selling them (all people, not just us collectors). Most would call us crazy for paying the price we pay for some coins. To each his own. If some people are willing to pay a lot for a special label, I will try to be the one to get that label, so they can help fund my non-labeled kennedy, and my retirement account :)

Here is pcgs label... I noticed the coin example in their picture is turned the wrong way on the reverse... wow, I thought pcgs would be more on top of it than this...http://www.pcgs.com/labels/kennedy

Maybe the gold coins have 180 degree rotation?

Hmmmm. It's not like you have tickets or anything so my guess is that if such a thing were seriously being considered, I'd be SURE that there were other people in line.

I mean. nothing like spending the night on the street in a town outside of Chicago at a Major and well advertised Coin Show with a pocket full of credit cards or cash.

Again, no luck will be needed. I love it when people tell me I can't do something or somethings not possible. Especially when I have done my research and know what Im talking about.
