But, but, the coin is richly layered in pure gold on BOTH sides of the coin. But, but, but, it's not offered from the U.S. mint either.... Get 'em while they're hot...
Reminds me of the Tv they been selling. 2014 50th Av. 24kt. Kennedy half with a full 24 mg of 24kt Gold . How many milligrams equal a gram?
24mg is very close to a dollar's worth of gold. A DOLLAR'S WORTH. Generously caked onto a HALF dollar! Imagine the value! ($1.50, for those who lack imagination...)
Here is pcgs label... I noticed the coin example in their picture is turned the wrong way on the reverse... wow, I thought pcgs would be more on top of it than this... http://www.pcgs.com/labels/kennedy
It isn't. .024 grams If gold is $1300 an oz that would be almost exactly $1 worth of gold ($1.0032 or one dollar and a third of a cent.)
Great thread TC. Been out of circulation for the last few weeks and it's great to finally catch up on things........

Well, now, the problem I see with not being able to line up until 11am at the ANA convention for the gold Kennedys is......WHO is going to control the influx of people cutting in line with their friends, or dealers putting a paid dork in line and then 20 other paid dorks jumping in with their "buddy"? There needs to be some control so everyone has a fair chance at some of the gold Kennedys at the show and keeping people from lining up before 11am and all the "friends of friends of friends" cutting in line like they did for the gold Buffaloes last year.
With people getting into the Bourse floor as early as 9AM there is no way they are going to be able to keep a line from forming unless they bring mint police along with them with batons to prod people along and keep them from "loitering" near the mint booth. "Line? oh no I'm just standing here." "Me too!" "Yeah me too" etc. etc. etc.
I see that the link also states a limit of 2 coins per person at the ANA Show for the Gold Kennedy. Given their supplied stats of 2500 pcs at 500 pcs per day, that line will not be able to exceed 250 people. I'm expecting some kind of a riot and the end of the US Mint selling these special products on release day.
