I found this coin 3 years ago, the image of what seems like a ghost has a refection, which I can not explain how it got there? It is not dirt, and it was not painted on? What say you?

Sorry but I can’t see anything with all that dirt and darkness.

Are you talking about the reverse that seems to have a ghost "head". Could be a PIDT or Progressive Indirect Design Transfer where the die is somewhat warped by so much striking and some of the design from one face transfers to the opposite side (upside down since that is the way US coins are made).

I think your coin needs an "acetone bath" to determine the anomaly.
