2014 D dime reverse error or die chip?

    2014 D dime that looks like some sort of glue was put on and a lighter was used to burn it. Question was in reverse where bottom of branch has a tail. Doesn't appear to be a die chip but not sure how many ways a die chip can manifest itself.

    It looks like it could be the start of a die crack, but it is so small that it wouldn't make any difference.

    @cpm9ball ...Chris is right...and die chips are all shapes and sizes.

    If you think about it, a die crack is a really long, thin die chip.
