Wonder if they will have the sets sold counter like with last years SF silver eagle set. That seemed to have an affect on "investers" who were buying for quick flip. I would think the mint might be better off sales wise not having the counter but I hope they do because I enjoyed checking it everyday.

Does anyone know if there will be a long waiting period like last year's set. I believe mine arrived in September.

The mint isn't going to begin shipping these sets until the middle of June so if you want the set early get in on the ordering early. The mint ships on a first in first out basis........

Per the mints web site, shipping begins mid to late June.

I think I read somewhere that there will be an order counter on the site.

I think I'll wait until the following week to order. There isn't any rush and there may not be much of a time lag between first and last shipment of orders. They will know exactly how many are sold before hand, and they will have a good chunk of June to get them all ready for delivery. I don't think flippers are going to have anything in the way of an advantage this time.

Wow. I had originally budgeted $10 for shipping from the mint for these sets (that should tell you something right there in my expectations out of the government, always expect to overpay), good to know I can save that extra $5 for something else. I had no clue they had a flat rate for shipping, haven't purchased enough from them yet either.

Isn't if funny to think about the government charging itself to use its own internal creation and service to move things around the country. Ala the mint (us government) paying the post office (another part of the federal government) to facilitate services.

Anyway back on topic, I'm pretty excited about tomorrow. I imagine the sale starts 8:00 or 9:00 EST? Anyone know for sure?

Starts at noon, EST. BTW, my coin dealer that I go to said that he knows a guy who is buying 100K sets. That's a big investment.

Thats a huge risk to take and he could very well be his own downfall on these. Im buying 2, and mostly just for my personal collection. It would be nice if they sky-rocket but not with a huge mintage out of the gate with one customer going in for 100K sets. SMH

100K? Either that dealer has one heck of a crystal ball or he's a boomin' idiot.......

I didnt want to name call....but i was thinking the same thing. Doesnt this 'investor' realize he could be a large reason why there wont be any scarcity?

Not with that amount of purchase. Maybe he's just blowing smoke to keep us all from ordering?

I agree. If one investor is going to buy up 100k units, in a unlimited mintage situation, this set will never be worth anything. If this is true, I would not touch the set with YOUR money, let alone mine.

Folks, I don't know if it's true or not, but that's what he told me. I figured that would be roughly $1.4M for all of those. I'm still buying my ONE set for myself. If the mint allows it, and he can afford it, there's not much anyone else can do. Far as I know there's no limit. I suppose if they put a counter we'll see if it happens.

Look at how many years the mint has produced over one million mint sets, and that didn't stop people from ordering. Now if I had $1.4M available, it would definitely go somewhere else rather than coins.
