Is this a mint error? I don't know much about paper currency, but I know when I see something that isn't supposed to be there. The left signature on the front has alot of excess ink trailing off of it,it is consistent with the ink of the signature and doesn't look to be from a stamp. What are your opinions?
That's an interesting one. I've seen several ink transfer bills, but none quite like yours. It appears to be excess ink but why it goes vertical instead of horizontal is different. I hope some of the more experienced members will chime in. @SteveInTampa , @mpcusa, others.
Ink looks transfered, on top of the actual printing, and not part of the original Process so looks for sure like someone had to much time on there hands
With all due respect to the OP, even if the stray ink is a genuine BEP error, I consider it a very minor error and together with the notes poor condition makes it not even worth grading in my world.
A good way to tell and be your own detective, is take a magnifying glass If the ink is on top its not an error however if it is actually at the same Level as the original printing (Not on top or over existing printing) Bingo ! Error
