So it would not be considered a mint error. It is quite obvious</p><p>so me personally I would go to the search box and put in say damaged Roosevelt $.10. </p><p>And see what threads come up, that someone had already posted on this kind of damage.</p><p>Now I think this coin has definitely been in circulation for a while, looks like to me it has been in contact with some kind of chemical. Which is started to dissolve the nickel layer. And a close-up look like someone took a Brillo pad to it because of all the scratches. I should have put this one on environmental damage.
