I read somewhere that there are a lot of these coins that were counterfeit. Could be yours is a counterfeit because of the issues.
Awesome thanks for that I have never heard of it before! You wouldn't know what happened to this 1993 one cent. Pictures are both exactly the same year coin next to each other
Here is an article on fake British coins - https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.da...ound-coin-fake-forgery-design-circulation/amp
Yeah I have done a lot of research and I have weighed it up against the royal mint and everything checks out spot on. I need some more advice really
On the 91 dime on the reverse it looks like a die crack on the left side of the base of the torch. Or is that just a scratch?
Where abouts is that. Can u look at the charles dickens coin above and possibly give me some feedback or ur opinion cheers I really appreciate it
On the reverse side not the head side. And I call it the torch idk if everyone else does but it is in the middle of the olive branches if you look at the base of the torch on the left side you can see it starts at the top left corner of the D in Dime and goes up and around the torch and almost makes it to the leg of the R.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_...und+coin&_sacat=11116&LH_Sold=1&LH_Complete=1 THe Dickens 2 pound coin is available in large numbers on UK ebay at around face value. If I had one I'd just spend it.
