Ditto, I love the look of the quarters. Guess I need to run over to the Philly Mint and pick up a couple sets this week sometime. Thanks for posting them Green!

    My pleasure dear fellows......:)

  4. I know I'm not the most seasoned collector, but I think I might be the only one that doesn't like the looks of the new proofs. It's just a little too grainy for me. I like the smoother frosted look of the proofs.

The hair lines on Washington's bust are rather indistinct.

I like the "smooth" look too Log. It's just nice to see some variety for a change.

  7. And I agree, I will make my final judgement when I get my silver quarter proof set later in the year. Pictures are one thing, in the hand is another.

Way to go Greenie! Very nice photos, Change is good when it's done right. Looks like this cameo etch will be less suseptable to
    bruising or scuffing.

A little more pepper and you'll be "well seasoned" ..... :) Seasoning has nothing to do with liking or disliking what the mint has done. It's just your opinion. Opinion, and how we perceive something are two things that help to drive this hobby of ours....and make it interesting too. Enough on opinions. Some more pics......:)

And some dead Presidents too. :) I think the mint did a much better job with the presidential busts this year. They seem almost life like to me.

Looks like they got the 2011 Sacagawea Reverse design from the California Prop-19 posters. :too-cool-for:

Wonderful! Look what you have started! Was going to hold out for the '11 Silver, but I went ahead and ordered a clad set along with another bronze Liberty Spouse Coin (Love Those!)

BTW: Coinvault had the same 2011 we bought for 31.95 from the mint, for 39.99! Oh and the ultra rare 2010 Clad set that you can still get on the mint website for also 31.95 was Coinvaulted into the stratosphere at 45 BUCKS!!! W-T-F
