    Greetings,

I've started collecting coins recently, mostly pennies and I finally got a half way decent picture of this 2011 D. I found it after getting two full boxes from the bank to look through (found a few wheats too!).

I think the reverse side is missing its...copper layer? I'm still in the "find a date I need phase" of collecting and not really looking for mistakes but thought it was interesting; at least out of the ordinary after looking at thousands of them!

So what does anyone think, junk or keeper?

Hope the pics turn out, not sure if I did it right.
(Now that I've looked at the pics the camera wasn't kind to the obverse side, looks much better than that).

Maybe it was caused by the environment.

The reverse suffered environmental damage after it left the mint. Copper is a very reactive metal, so this happens frequently
