1 Oz Silver Timberwolf! Just ordered one off APMEX! These are beautiful coins! This will be a 3 year program called The Wildlife Series in Canada...... Next one comes out in March! Ordered a brittania PROOF, 2010 & 11 Kookaburra to! I wish we had a little more variety with our 1 ouncers.... not as much as Australia though.... way too much in my opinion.... its almost cheesy...... Love the Kookaburras though! I'm thinking these Timberwolves will be highly sought after in a few years...... if they keep the mintage down!
There will be 6 coins all together in this series, the wolf being the first. Mintage is limited to 1 million coins for this one..... was hoping it would be at least half that...... oh well! A great looking coin!
I have one of the 1/2 oz and one of the new 1 oz. I paid more for the 1/2 oz than for the 1 oz. Go figure.
This is a series where I actually want to collect them all! Beautiful and very affordable! can't wait to see what our neighbors to the north put on the remaining 5 coins in the series........
The Britannia PROOF I also ordered! Awesome! Only 5,500 of these proofs being minted of which 2,500 are confined to proof sets! That leaves 3,000 single proofs for sale world wide!
so the 1/2 ounce of canadian timber wolf silver bullion right now is selling same price with that of one ounce. a big premium attached.
Just a correction on the Britannia Proof: 8,000 were minted. It says that on the certificate of authenticity. APMEX is wrong with there numbers on this one........... got my timberwolf in as well. unfortunately it has some kind of mark on it below the moon. looks like a reeded edge from another one hit it during the process somehow..... I will call it a shooting star! lol
The Grizzly is the next one up. Has anyone seen the design?I was wondering since they repeated the wolf design if they are going to repeat the Grizzly design they used on their 8 dollar coin...which is a fine looking Grizzly.
There is nothing wrong with the $8 dollar design but I'd rather see something similar to what's on the reverse of the Alaskan state quarter!
