    Weight is 2.40 grams. Is slightly smaller than a similar coin. Defective planchet? 20230429_192945.jpg

    Looks like it was dipped in acid. 2.5g is the normal weight, probably lost some weight from that, surface looks similar to other examples of coins that were inside of some sort of acidic solution. Definitely Post Mint Damage.

    How does the edge look? On the zinc cents, minted from mid 1982 to present, acid solutions will often "eat away" the metal to expose the inner core.
