So do I understand this then.. the Mint is NOT going to release the 2010 Lincoln cent in a P&D roll (like all other coinage?) This is only available in bank circ or Puerto Rico? (Or ebay). Is that the answer? So will they be in the mint / proof sets? I see the mint has an article about releasing 2/11 but nothing about going on sale. You know.. it's stuff like this that makes me lose interest in coin collecting. Our U.S. coins circulating NOT in the U.S.... the nonsense about the SAE proofs because there isn't enough silver when they're already promoting the two commems for 2010... this is nuts.
Oh how I enjoyed those days. I shoud get a managers report from my dad within the net week if "D" minted nickels and dimes will be available at his location since he is now receiving 2009 D minted coins. In the mean time I have 50 rolls of 2010 pennies coming my way Ill be doing a giveaway once i receive them so stay tuned
I bought 2400 2010 Lincoln cents yesterday and I think I'll just spend them on groceries. Yeah right! Seriously, I think that the prices that these coins are selling for is nuts but people want them early and are willing to pay more than top dollar for them. I drove 3 hours to Springfield to pick mine up and some would say that is crazy too. They will be available eventually and the prices will certainly come down. The people selling and buyuing right now are wheelers and dealers exploiting the bleeding edge of the market. Best to just sit back and watch the frey.
Well, it's the first year. When they stop making them in 2058, they'll either be common as dirt, obsolete, or both. Plus you'll be very old then.
