The Walking Liberty half dollar is a silver 50-cent piece or half dollar coin that was issued by the United States Mint from 1916 to 1947; it was designed by Adolph A. Weinman, a well-known sculptor and engraver.

That is not what you have.

Given that it’s just a fancy bullion piece with millions upon millions issued, the grade honestly is irrelevant to nearly all collectors, save some who do the whole MS70 thing.

Given the milk spot on the obverse, yours isn’t a 70. Could be a 69. Could be a 68.

The coin’s value is the same from Poor 1 all the way to MS69.

You can't grade all that well with photos. You might be able to grade that up to a 65 with a photo of the coin outside the capsule.

70 is considered having no flaws at 5x magnification, 69 (I believe), is when a coin has 3 observable scratches or flaws (in total?).

Finding a 69 or 70 is unlikely especially with a silver eagle dated 2009.

When I finished 6th grade, my grandmother gave me a 2002 silver eagle (more than a decade old at that point). It had a really pretty red toning on all edges, but I would not have given it anything higher than a 63. It is not worth anything more than melt.

While that sounds poetic and is probably in a handbook somewhere, I'll stick to my theory that TPGs pick every 10th-15th coin off a conveyor belt and just call it 70 for giggles.

I'd grade it uncirculated. Or I could grade it about $18.
