WELL after 1200.00 in nickel boxes, I found 1 2009 p and 2 2009 d nickels. Anyone that says these are easy to find, must have the midas touch. And yes all 3 are so badly damaged I cant even make 6 cents on them.
Difficult to find, yes. Not sure what my success rate is on them. But here in Texas I have found nearly a whole roll of Denvers and a handful of Phillys. That’s after probably several thousand dollars worth. But surprisingly, I still find the occasional one in pocket change. Good luck!
I have a recurring dream where the 1¢ and 5¢ coins are declared "obsolete" and the government melts all they hold...meaning, nearly every 2009 P/D nickel!
