How did you do that Chief? And do these look better than the cabins? Wish I could have gone to Lincoln City. Got a friend in Seymour about 100 miles away, but could not reach her, darnit.
if u had listened to me we would be the ones with a truck full of pennies and a dollar full bank account but no
as for stamps. before i used to collect every countries. i liked the british colonies better than others. the queen elizabeth on it.
was this order placed before they went on sale? or did they go on sale before 5/15? No wonder I'm confused...LOL
I started my 2-roll sets at 99 cents each and they brought nearly $60 each. Excuse me, no huckstering going on here, just an honest guy who is trying to once in a while turn a decent profit on eBay, people think they are worth it
those e-bay transaction might be insiders. let's said. we both have a lot of that stuff. i post it. two or more friends and relatives bid for it. and the price keep going up. so it look like the stuff worth a lot. so some innocent people might bid for it. it was kind like of stock market too. ps. you can buy it from u.s.mint at $8.95 per two rolls. why buy it at e-bay for $60.00 or more?. common sense.
I do coin shows and I am constantly amazed that people buy stuff from me at a premium when they can still order it directly from the Mint. Some are lazy, some don't have a computer, maybe some have bad credit, I don't know. But I am not going to turn down a profit and tell them they can still order if from the Mint. I do my homework. If they don't, it's not my fault. And I do NOT use shill bidders.
Right, and some people do value (and pay a premium for) the convenience of being assured of getting their coins and not having to wait for the customer-service-challenged Mint to get it right, or wrong, and finally let the hapless customers know. In this way the Mint is an eBay seller's best friend. If the Mint ever figures it out (not that I expect to live so long), it would be that much harder to turn a profit.
Amen to that ..and that's why folks are grabbing up bank wrapped rolls for $20+ a roll on ebay !!!!! Thank you baby Jesus - Rickie Bobby As an Aside - Does anyone know where the Indiana coins came from? P or D? If they came from Philly then no one has seen a D cent yet and won't for many months.
Mint is STILL taking orders for the Lincolns, up to 7/12/09 !!! How many sets are they going to put out----looks like MUCHO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, people don't want them late late, they'll want them now, and end up paying the premiums on ebay...
