I will get 10 sets of the silver proofs, just to see where the price goes. I need 5 for some proof set runs and the others are for "wait and see".
Wish I had bought some extra 08 clad sets when they first came out.
Lesson learned, now I buy a few more then I need and figure they will sell for at least what I have in them.

I bought five of the clad proof sets but I'm thinking about just three of the silver proofs. They are getting a little steep in price.

I won't be buying any silver proof sets this year. I have the clad I need for Christmas presents, and I purchased just the quarters in silver and clad earlier this year.

I am hoping that the seemingly ever-increasing cost of silver proof sets keeps the mintages nice and low. That seems to be the key to predicting future values.

FWIW, Every time there is a scarce issue, the next year the dealers order a bunch, they don't sell, and they remain close to issue price. The following year the dealers don't buy many and it is those sets that are the higher priced ones in the long run.

I am a little excited, I will be ready to get my order in as soon as noon comes. I did not get any clad sets. I always want the silver. I can only afford 3 or 4 sets

Interesting that you would buy so many and not sell any. Due to income restraints one is enough for me right now I prefer the silver proof sets to others. Gorgeous coins! Plan is to leave my collection to my grandkids (6) and how, you may ask, are they going to divide one set between 6! First I need to determine if they are at all interested in my coins/sets and that is a ways off as the oldest is going to be 15 in October. My plan for financing my hobby is to sell error coins and roll that over to purchase more. You know? Beyond my initial question I suppose I don't belong her making these declarations. Bored, I guess. I'm still trying to find my way around this site. It is interesting. Beyond that, if anyone has some hints to pass on to this old geezer about errors I'll be glad to read and answer. Thanx for enduring
