I was eating cookies and milk while I waited. Great for passing the time. I wonder of the people here will most or few send in to be graded?

Thinking of sending one in for the hell of it, along with some other stuff I'd like to get graded.

Went on the Mint site @ 12. Finally done with checkout @ 12:24. Little slow but hope the wait was worth it as the coin looks really nice in the proof and Unc.

 

You can run Safari on a Windows PC also. If you have iTunes, it will prompt you to install it. Safari is also the browser on iPhones.

 

I did not know that, you learn something new everyday!

I got two of each uncircs and proof.
I have 5 free slabbing coupons so the best of each (unc and proof) will be sent in to be slabbed and the other two will stay in the original package.

 

I tried to order at 12, was a zoon, so went back to the office, half hour later was able to order as many as I want, with no wait... in for a few of each.

 

3 unc, 3 proof ordered.

 

Speaking of, anybody know where a guy can get his hands on a roll or two of the ones released today? People on ebay are out of their minds (50 to 150 bucks for a roll).

 

Should go to your local bank where they're selling them for 50 cents each!

Seriously, they'll be minted in the billions so anybody paying rediculous prices for them are a bunch of morons. Reminds me of the early days of the Delaware quarter where eBayers were buying them for huge prices... only to realize quickly that they'd never be worth significantly more than 25 cents in their lifetime.

 

How did you manage to get free slabbing coupons ?

 

My Mom joined NGC so we could direct submit my new Fugio to NCS for conservation and then have it slabbed by NCS or NGC. It's $109 for the premium subscription, but you get 5 free Earlybird or Standard World Submissions. The only thing is they require you to send in all 5 at once to use the coupon, you can't send them in a couple at a time. The Earlybird service is usually $30. per coin, so you're getting $150 worth of slabbing for $109 and you get access to extra stuff online at NGC that is for members only. My new Fugio is there now "waiting for evaluation."

The mint charged my credit card today for the 2 Uncirculated and 2 Proof ones I ordered. The mint's order tracking system is down, so I can't see if they've shipped. Hopefully they'll be here soon. hya:
