I took the coin out tonight, still mulling over what to do and realized that once I found the struck-thru on Abe&#039;s forehead the other day I really hadn&#039;t looked very hard at the rest of the coin. </p><p><br /></p><p>It took about ten seconds with a loupe to find another struck-thru error in the beard!</p><p><br /></p><p>Somebody tell me if you think I&#039;m wrong here but it looks like the object was struck into the beard in the first strike, fell back and was struck-thru onto Lincoln&#039;s forehead on the second strike. The second strike brought the design up, obliterating part of the first circle in the process.</p><p><br /></p><p>So it looks like this coin has two little struck through errors. One for the first strike and one for the second.
