This seems different from the one listed in Ken Potter's book ("Strike it Rich with Pocket Change"). He attributes his as: CONECA: DDR-057 Wexler: WDDR-057 Potter: VCR#7/DDR#7 But the extra index finger on his is much closer to the real index finger than mine. Is that significant or is mine just a slight variation? Thanks.
I could not tell you which without looking, but that's not WDDR-057. Here... http://doubleddie.com/60701.html There is much better info available free online than is contained within that shamefully titled book.
WDDR-001 http://doubleddie.com/60701.html Cross References: Crawford: CDDR-002, Coppercoins: 1DR-017, CONECA: 2-R-VIII, Cherrypickers: FS-01-2009-803, Potter: VCR#2/DDR#2
Almost nothing... that's just the LP2-P reverse. The genuine 09 1C varieties - LP1-LP4 PDS obv/rev - not to mention the nonsense ones offered (or at least used to be) on ebay are too much. I cannot say what the grade may be, but it looks decent even though it does have the very common 09 spotting issues. Value-wise, don't put much weight in estimates listed on Wexler's or other similar sites; instead look into how much people are actually paying. Overall it's a fantastic site though. BTW... while Ken is probably correct about the variety, there was another quite similar in appearance, so you may want to verify just to be sure. I forget the number of the similar variety, but think it is somewhere in the WDDR-50 to 70 range.
I, too, am curious how one would handle those spots from '09 (and how they would affect the grade), as I have plenty of BU coins that look like they've been through a sprinkler.
