light For such a major show, I thought the attendance was very light. It'll be interesting to read the final reports on attendance from the ANA. Despite light attendance, most of the dealers said that they were having a good show with good profits. So as long as that keeps up, we'll still have these shows. I especially liked seeing the Smithsonian exhibit and also the 4 out of 5 Liberty Head nickels from 1913. Lots of money there in the cases, not to mention the other coins, like the 1794 silver dollar, the 1933 Double Eagle, and the 1849 Double Eagle. Also attended some club meetings, again, mostly light turnout. The most active club I saw was the Philippine collector's society. Also good turnout at the international Bank Note Society meeting. I met Q. David Bowers and Mr. Krause at these meetings, both stellar authors and numismatists. For me, I had a great time. I enjoyed all of the exhibits, and I actually got interested in some items I thought I'd never collect, like Indian rupees. So I was able to expand my horizons. And I even met the Penny Lady! Great time just chatting at tables. Steve
