2008 S penny wide AM.. proof?.. counterfeit?

    Ok thanks. I used nail polish on a couple coins I found metal detecting and it didnt even take the dirt off lol. After a day or 2 it just evaporated.. I've been trying to clean some coins I found in the ground too and dont know how.. I guess acetone..

    It will take time to remove that kind of dirt but place a lid on it do it doesn't evaporate so fast.
