So I just found this 2008 Hawaii state quarter with a raised backward B shaped Mark next to Washington's mouth. Could it be a real error? Or do raised marks happen from being in circulation? Actually, that's drool caused by the novocain when he had his dentures worked on. Been there, done that!
Guess I originally commented on the gallery photo. This is post mint damage and worth face value. A sure fire way to tell is if the metal looks pushed and raised like what you see in this picture next to the marks you are referencing.
