I'm sure this isn't much of anything of making my quarter more valuable, but would love to know what this would be called. It seems its a drop of extra material when the quarter was stamped. Die Chip to be precise. Not really any extra metal. The Die that was used to strike the Blank Planchet had a tiny spot that broke away leaving a hole. So the metal from the blank flowed into the hole. It's a common occurrence especially on these new Quarters. Nothing really major.
