Answers to what will ultimately turn a purchase into a fine collectable should always be a priority topic. Near run ends, or items that others can not see as being investment are missed. It will not be one person who mines the mint, it will take consistant verbage to find what we all look for.

With the 2008 predictions thread going I thought it would be interesting to revisit this thread. I think the 2007 ASE Reverse is still one of the hottest coins although I think it has cooled a little. Like Tcor said the ladies started hot but seem to have cooled a bit.

It would be interesting to see the numbers from the mint - I can never remember where to find them. Wonder how the Jamestown and Desegregation coins did? Also wonder what the numbers were for the Eagle series. I'm not impressed with the dead presidents although I ended up with two proof sets??? The uncirculated ASE seemed to do well by all accounts but that may have been because of the wave from last year and the price for the market.

What do you think about the 2007 US Mint coins all said and done?

BTW - I like both of my commemoratives - they are nice looking coins in both proof and unc. versions - much nicer than the DP's. The Jefferson Liberty Spouse is something to see!
