    Please don't.

These facial cracks are not that rare at all, even post 2001. Even if this is a little stronger than most, it is still very far from one of a kind and anyone who would pay top of novelty money would be getting ripped off. Remember that the "right person" can also be the wrong person. A fool and his money....

I mean "The Crying Roosevelt Dime" Because of the tear drop in his Eye. Have you seen another one of these?

"The Crying Roosevelt Dime" One of a Kind Made Error!
Due to the Tear Drop on President Roosevelt! Have you seen one or anyone seen one with a tear drop on President Roosevelt? If not that in itself would make it rare right?

I think it is more of "Please don't try an make up some cutesy name for it" Everybody out there tries to make up some name for every die crack, chip gouge etc etc etc ad nauseum. To me a "named" error is a sure sign of a minor, "worthless", error that someone is trying to sell for a lot more than it is worth. I think you will find that most collectors are sick to death of cutesy names.

It is not one of a kind. It's a die crack, and there are certainly others that look exactly like yours.

Just because it's the only one you've ever seen doesn't mean it's the only one to exist.
Just because someone can't produce a photo of another one doesn't mean they don't know what they are talking about.
Please, Manofthehour, take the time to learn how coins are minted and you will learn how and why your coin is not one of a kind.

Considering the press would have been running at 13 coins per second, and almost certainly did not stop the instant the die cracked, the chances that this is the only one in existence is awful slim.

This is what I found after 30 seconds of searching, all the time I cared to dedicate to the request for other roosevelt die cracks. It's not hard imagine a die crack variation like yours is much different then these 3.

    Right back at you.
You have received the info on you coin. It was minted with a cracked die. It is a mint error, but so common that it carries no numismatic premium.

It's possible, there are a lot of bidiots out there. If he got $145 for it good for him and I feel just slightly sorry for the buyer who paid way too much. Only slightly because they should have researched more before they threw their money away. If you buy something and don't know what you are buying you have no one to blame but yourself.

It's the "The Crying Roosevelt Dime" No other one known to exist. If there is PROVE IT! The purchaser received a great deal and I think he already sold it for an even higher profit. Anyways no need to cry over this guys let "The Crying Roosevelt Dime" have his space in history. :thumb:

YES and I'm glad he seems to be gone. Although his brethren are way too common.
