Platinum is over $1500.00 an ounce, so the set is getting a little closer to melt. Probably a lot of people that wished they would have purchased the gold reverse set.
I seen someone comparing the mint sales figures before & after they went on sale. I guess "All sales" is the only figure available until they announce sales individually.
well i suggest if u cant hold out till end of 2008 ther ei s no point suffering might as well as buy ti now. j/k dont do anythign that hurts your financial well being
I've got the solution for you -- sell me your reverse proof gold set, and then you won't be tempted to buy this one
Thanks guys, that is what I like about this forum so many helpful people. You know when I really Think about the platinum set, it may not be as agonizingly painful to resist this purchase as I first thought. I believe it was either Ben Franklin or Martha Stewart said (don't quote me) "that what does not kill you , makes you stronger". I think I will look at this temptation as a character developer. For what it is worth, on another forum someone reposted the mint has sold between 14K-15K of these sets as of a Tuesday posting. I have no idea if this is accurate but some seem to think this is reliable. Do not quote me on that either please
I notice where you can layaway a reverse platinum ngc PF70 set for $3250.00. That advertisement is in a coin magazine.
