I'd give them a call. They might have your grades for you. Wishing you some MS70's!

I called ANACS and they said the coins are in process and have been sent to packaging. I didn't ask about grades, I'd rather wait in anticipation till they get back. I just know there are some 70s, as I couldn't see the slightest flaw on any of them. They should be back in less than a week.

The way ANACS has been grading lately you might get them ALL back as 70 :D :D :D

    Is this a serious PROBLEM!!!

I received 20 coins thru Littelton and I just finished checking them out prior to sending them in to be graded! I noticed on about half of them, there is a high spot that seems to be shiny! It is between the last long sun ray and the flowing gown on the obverse! It shows up in different degrees of brightness on each coin. Look for it at or near the tip of the ray, it's about 1/4" by 1/4 " area! I don't know if this will effect the grading of the coin or not! It goes away as the coin is rotated, it's almost like the burnishing could have caused it!! Hope I'm the only unlucky buyer to get these!! Let me know if anyone sees it too!!

Sounds like the coins were rubbing against each other in the tube. What you are seeing is a break in the luster.

I think I've got it in most of mine. It appears on her left bosom on mine. I thought it looked almost like oil or something.

does that affect the grade or the value?

    Robert 29 & tsk,

I cannot visualize what you are describing. Could you possibly show us a picture. Hopefully, I will be receiving mine in the next 2-weeks from the mint and I want to be prepared for it. Thanks!

Even now Littletons current rate of $70 is actually less than the actual eBay average selling price!

    Picture????

Alhas; I can take a great picture but I don't know how to get it on this forum!! You can't miss the shiny spot! Luckily NOT ALL ASE's have this problem, be sure to rotate all the coins you receive and put at least a 10 power Loupe on them!

Yes it affects the grade. But value ? Well, if you consider that to probably 9 out of 10 people an ASE graded as MS70 is worth no more than one graded MS67 - it doesn't affect it a bit.

Well Captain how did ANACS grades turn out? I sent in 7 to NGC (5 of which were from Littleton) and here are the grades:

    002 2006 W EAGLE S$1 MS 69

    003 2006 W EAGLE S$1 MS 70

    004 2006 W EAGLE S$1 MS 70

    005 2006 W EAGLE S$1 MS 69

    006 2006 W EAGLE S$1 MS 70

The Eagles have landed. I sent the 5 Littleton coins and 2 proofs from the mint, and all 7 came back 69. The proofs 69 DCAM. NO 70s. i couldn't see the slightest flaw in any of them, looks like ANACS is not giving many 70s. Ebay price has flattened, so I may sell one and keep the rest for a while. maybe I should have went with NGC.
