2006 silver penny

Could you look at this & give me a little info plz.

Part of a high school science experiment, search "gold and silver penny experiment"

 

Definitely plated. Not made of silver.

 

1) Your photo is too blurry, especially when we try to enlarge it. Use a copy stand or tripod to stabilize the camera.

2) We don't need to look at dirty carpet. When processing your image, crop out all of the unnecessary background.

Damaged as it has been plated.

 

Maybe it's a penny with no copper plating...just zinc!

 

No - it's been re-plated


....and not the best job, either

 

Looking at this coin again I'd say it was replated over a dirty zinc Cent. Simply meaning the coin was not clean when it was plated.

 

So

Sorry for the unnecessary background. However that's not dirty carpet, it's my NEW recliner.
