Isint type 1 versus type 2 have to do with 1981 proof cents? His does not look like a proof to me. I could be completely wrong though.
Yes you are wrong, because the guy here looked it up in the dealers book ND DEFINATELY says it is a TYPE 2 and is a Proof cent. No disrespect.
Ok, let’s say it’s a proof and it’s a type 2, it is an impaired proof and not worth what a high grade non impaired example would fetch (which is like $40). It’s a cool find, if it is what you say it is. Good to stick in a 2x2 and keep it in your collection. Don’t think you are going to get rich off of it.

Or that wheat back could be a die chip like this LMC. Look at the C,E and T in the word CENT with the little blobs of copper. It is from a chip in the die and are minor errors. They don't bring a huge premium but are cool...
