It looks like we've got another misreported star run: This Ebay auction has a star note that shouldn't exist, according to the BEP monthly reports. If I can get enough data on notes from this serial range, I can probably work out what was actually printed from the serial numbers and plate positions. But at the moment, the note in the auction is the only data point I've got, and its plate position is plenty weird, so I don't know what to think. So: If you've got any 2006 $1 New York star notes with serials between B06400001* and B09600000*, please post the serial number, plate position, and face/back plate numbers. With a few such reports, it ought to be possible to work out a reasonable approximation of what the BEP actually printed....
Just took a quick look and I don't think I have any. You might sift through the last few pages of the strap stackers thread or post an appeal there...
I actually have my tellers call me when they have brand new packs in. When they call off I go and a searching I be
I wish. They don't seem to have that many come in and when they do it's a ton. So like if a Crisp pack of 07's come in there's usually a whole brick (1000 notes). I rarely get the whole brick unless I have too much time on my hands Usually a pack or two work fine and I can pick out some stars or a fancy. But not many fancy's turn up and even stars seem tough now a days.
Sounds like you get to have some fun searching! I've never taken a whole brick of notes out of the bank ever! That would be something to set a goal to do. BTW, what are: '07s ? Chicago FRNs?
Found this on Ebay can you explain? Above is another CT thread reporting eBay Seller harv_60 listing these Series 2006 NY Star notes. The Seller currently has several listings running: • Pictured SN: B07097808* -- Item #230561668651 • Pictured SN: B07097902* -- Item #230562495178 • Pictures SNs: B07097893* &B07097894* -- Item #310278598939 • Pictured SN: B07097808* -- Item #310278598746 The Seller's item description (may be a little misleading) as it reads: His very long running item description mentions an expert that contacted him earlier this year. I didn't bother to read everything he wrote about this but I was wondering of this was you Numbers? :smile
