They changed the date again to excepted to ship on 7/8

 

Yeah, mine too, CU. I'm now at 7/8 also.

I think they've got a program that automatically advances you're backorder to always be two weeks away. At least, that's what it looks like.

 

Hey, grovey. I have three questions I'd like to ask you. When did you initially order your sets? How many did you order? What was your last backorder date when you spoke to the Mint the other day before they changed it to what it is now?

I'd like to compare your circumstances to mine and see if I have any chance of getting my status upgraded. When I called the number you gave, I was passed off to a lady who just said that my order has been backordered and she could not give me any ship date. Any chance of getting the name of the guy you talked to?

 

My sets went from backordered until 7/5 to "in stock and reserved". I can't figure what is taking so long. I ordered my sets just 3 hours after sales opened and many that ordered after me already have their sets. If the sets didn't sell out until June 3rd then I surely had to have my 2 sets reserved well before then!!

 

I think you are right they just changed my date to 7/9

 

Mine's at 7/9 also so it's pretty obvious that they're just pushing out the ship date every day to a two-week cushion automatically.

That sucks It tells me that they really don't know if they'll get to me or not. Hey grovey...I really could use that name.

 

Finally. My 2 sets are on their way, shipped today. That completes my collection of all westward journey coins, sets, etc.. What a pain in ther butt this has been thanks to all the wonderful smooth mint transactions!!!

 

As the backordering continues, so are the days of our lives.

 

On Their Way At Last!!

YES!! Mine were shipped today also!! I must say, I honestly didn't believe I'd get them! I didn't get the 2004's and ended up paying $65.00 for one set. I can't complain much however, as even that price ended up being a good deal! The '04's are going for over $125.00 per set on e-bay, and the 05's are $65.00 and going up!!

 

I also ordered mine the first hour they were available and have been bumped back four times...they're now saying 7/12.I'm not gonna hold my breath though.

 

I received my 5 sets today. They were ordered by phone within the first couple hours of release. I won't get to see them till I get off the road Friday. I hope they are all ok because I don't think you could send them back and expect replacement if there is anything wrong.

 

They kept changing my date, up to 7/14. I just checked it and it says, in stock and reseved. Finally

 

Received mine today...and man are they in excellent condition. Looked at them very closely and didn't see any flaws.....wondering would PCGS grade these as PF70...guess we'll never know. Oh and they were back ordered until July 2....go figure....

 

I'm still waiting and being backordered daily to a new date. They just keep running that same program that automatically advances to another day without any regard.

 

Tanner520, mine had been moved back a day at a time until 7/14/05, then last night, "in stock and reserved" showed up on the website. I'll bet yours is changing soon if not already. Good luck. Of course, I don't believe I have them until I open the box.

 

I hope you're right, kort. I've been livin' this bad dream for over a month now and it's getting old. Maybe I'll be coming up in the "queue" sometime soon but I've become so acclimated to the move-you-to-the-next-day routine that I'm not sure what I'd think if I actually saw those magical words saying that my sets were reserved. I think I'd be like you, not believin' until I have them in my hand....

 

Yeah, tanner, metoo. Don`t you think they would know if they have enough
to fill our orders by now? Are they waiting to fill our orders with returned (junk) sets???

 

Nope, bz, to be frank I think we're already screwed and they just haven't told us yet. You know about the speed of the government and their agencies

New to the boards and glad I found them. I just started a collection for each of my two girls. I thought I would share my phone call to the 800 number today. I called customer service about 6pm CDT. I informed the agent that I placed my order for 5 sets on May 27th. The order now reads a backorder date of July 17th. He told me that I would get my sets. He told me that my order was part of the 75000 and they would surely be filled. As most of you, I will believe it when they are in my hands.. Good luck to us all.
