I ordered late, I guess, I'm just glad they're going in the right direction, I was a little concerned at first that my order might get cancelled, but I think the fact that the date was moved up is a good sign!

 

2005 Coin & Metal Sets

Has anyone noticed the correlation between what date their backorderd item is expected to ship, and if they ever receive the item. Some items that I am ordering are remaining backorderd much longer than the "expectd shipping date." The ordered item, after a few days, then appears on the mint website as backorderd to a later date. After that second backorder date passes, you receive a ["TEST"] email from the mint reading your ordered item is not avaliable. Has this happened to anyone?

In another vein, I placed one order for 'two' 2005 Coin and Metal Sets, and they are now backorderd to 'two' different dates. Are we now being sent defective items that customers return on different dates? I would advise all to check for damage to their mint original packaging, and items inside the packaging.

My card was charged, they supposedly shipped on 6/09/05

 

Mine were scheduled to ship yesterday. My card has not been charged, so I guess they weren't shipped. I did get my silver proof sets though; two of them. One looks perfect, the other has a spot on Jefferson's head in on Ocean In View Nickel. Looks like somone coughed or sneezed on it. Debating whether or not to send it back.

Mine was expected to ship 6-8-05, and I got mine today.

sjnebay, I had received an email on Friday that my sets we're mailed out, they didn't take my money out until Sunday night though, kinda weird.

Nickel Sets

Received my 5 sets 06/14/05, all sets are nice.

 

Mine are still backordered with a shipping date of 6/13. I called the Mint to see if the backorder date had been moved backward since the original date had come and gone with no shipment. It would have been nice if the mint rep could speak better English! He had no backorder date or possible updated shipping date. All he kept saying, from what I could understand was... "Don't worry, your get as soon, we ship soon, backordered set is". Wow, that was fun!!!

 

Well, I got some bad news from the Mint this morning. The backorder was pushed back to 7/1. Man, I hope it works out but I have a bad feeling that I'm not going to get one of these from the Mint this year....

 

The shipping date on my order was changed to 7/01 also. I have a feeling I will get someone elses returnes.

 

Dig this, I ordered 5 REC'd 3, 2 on backorder??????????????

 

Metoo 7/01. It doesn`t look good.

 

My order with mint on the Coin and Metal Sets has now been backordered until 7/1/05. This is the third time my order has been backordered to a different date. Why take the order if they can't fill it on time? Anyone else having trouble getting their orders filled these sets? Jim

 

mine was moved back to 6/30! Can they really send out rejected sets?

They changed my shipping date from 7/1 to 7/2 also
