2005 Uncirculated Sets

Surprise...Surprise....Surprise. The Mint had given me a ship date of 090505 but my e-mail says they shipped 090305. Not bad. I ordered it 053105 and there was a return in between. I can't imagine any other 'company' have this type of service and staying in business. Too bad the Mint is the only game in town unless you want to go third party (and pay). So I guess the choice is slow and (relatively) inexpensive or quick and (relatively) expensive. Some of the advertisers in CoinWorld have their prices only a few cents higher than the Mint so I may be looking at alternatives to the Mint.

2005 Unc mint sets

My 05 Uncirculated Mint Sets had a shipping date of 9/5/05 yesterday, 9/2/05. Today I checked the website and my order has now been backordered until 11/18/05. Over a month. Instead running thewir little program every night and backordering items a day at a time, they are now backordering them a 6 weeks at a time. At least it was 6 weeks this time for me. Jim

 

Now the mint has my order as follows:

2005 UNCIRCULATED SET 3 $16.95 $50.85 3 units backordered.

Expected to ship on 11/18/2005

Go figure!

 

Checked the mint this morning & I too have been pushed back to Nov. 18 2005. They must be selling alot to the coin shows or having some kind of trouble.
I did see HSN selling a MS69 set for $400.00. Not a bad profit!!
